It appears that Miguel Torres has a date for his return to the cage.

The former WEC bantamweight titlist this weekend announced on his Facebook page that he will be fighting on Oct. 26, which is when World Series of Fighting will hold its sixth card. Torres signed a three-fight deal with the Las Vegas-based promotion prior to its inaugural event.

WSOF 6 takes place the Bank United Center in Coral Gables, Fla. and is headlined by a welterweight championship clash between Josh Burkman and Steve Carl. The main card airs on NBC Sports, while the preliminary lineup streams live on Sherdog.com.

Torres last competed at WSOF 1, where he lost a split decision to promising prospect Marlon Moraes. The defeat marked Torres’ first appearance outside the Zuffa realm since 2007. After a successful stint in the WEC, Torres posted a 2-2 mark in the Octagon, falling via first-round knockout to Michael McDonald in his last UFC outing.
