Nate Diaz Doesn't Believe Masvidal Rematch Will Happen: 'I've Been Here Before'

Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal's battle for the "BMF" title ended early due to a cut and left fans wanting more. Even though both men said they want to fight again, it looks like the Ultimate Fighting Championship will not rush to get them in the cage again. Nate Diaz has lost before and wanted to fight the opponent that beat him again, but according to the Stockton native, he never gets a rematch when he wants it.

"I've been here before," Diaz told ESPN after the fight. Even though both Diaz and Masvidal wanted to see the fight through to the end for a definitive victory, Diaz feels the UFC may push Masvidal away from a rematch. When asked if he believes Masvidal will commit to the rematch Diaz said, "I believe everything [he says] until the UFC starts getting in his head like they've done in the past."

Diaz said the politics behind the business of mixed martial arts is why he was away for three years. Diaz believes he can get it done, but already seeing pushback. “I can already see Dana [White] talking that s---,” said Diaz. "I’ve been making names for people for years, what do I get?”

Both men seem willing, but they fight for the UFC so the ball is in the court of the promotion.
