The time for Nathias Frederick’s first title defense has come.
Cage Warriors Fighting Championship announced on Monday morning that Frederick will lock horns with Andreas Michailidis at the upcoming Cage Warriors 114 card.
Frederick (8-2-1) won the middleweight strap thanks to a fourth-round TKO after a hard confrontation with former titleholder James Webb at CW 111 on Nov. 22. Prior to that, Frederick and Webb locked horns in an enthusiastic clash that ended end in a majority draw at CW 106.
Bellator MMA alum Michiailidis (12-3) will arrive at the most important fight in his career riding a three-bout winning streak. All but one of his wins have come inside the distance, with the exception of a decision triumph over Ion Pascu at Abu Dhabi Warriors 4 in May 2016.
