A solid welterweight fight has been added to Ultimate Fighting Championship’s next pay-per-view offering in June.

On Wednesday night, MMA Junkie first reported that Neil Magny (22-7) would be taking on Anthony Rocco Martin (17-5) at welterweight at UFC 250. That event will go down on June 6, and it does not currently have a location set although the promotion is targeting the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Following the report, Martin confirmed this news on Twitter.

After a lengthy layoff following a fourth-round knockout defeat to Santiago Ponzinibbio, Magny returned to action in March to upset the surging Jingliang Li by decision. The nearly 16-month layoff for Magny was the longest in his career since his 2010 debut, and it stood in sharp contrast to his high level of activity throughout his UFC tenure. Despite the long absent period, the 32-year-old will be taking his 22nd trip to the Octagon since joining the promotion in 2013.

Since rebranding himself from Tony Martin to what he is called now, the American Top Team standout has won three of four. In that span, he has collect wins over Jake Matthews, Sergio Moraes and Ramazan Emeev, while dropping a close majority verdict to Demian Maia in June 2019.

UFC 250 is taking place on June 6 at a to-be-determined location, although it is strongly considered to be held at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. There is no official headliner booked, although the event will feature a women’s featherweight title tilt as Amanda Nunes defends her 145-pound belt against Felicia Spencer.
