Combate Americas is in San Antonio, Texas, this Friday and the promotion has announced a new main event for the card.

Originally, John Castaneda was set to take on Eduardo Alvarado Osuna, yet that fight has been scrapped due to Castaneda suffering an elbow infection. Instead, Osuna will battle Andre Morera at a 140-pound catchweight.

Osuna is on a two-fight winning streak after beating Andy Perez at Combate Americas 33 in March and then beating Jose Calvo by split decision this past June at Combate Americas 39. The 27-year-old is 8-4 as a pro with four stoppage wins. He is 3-1 in the promotion.

Morera, meanwhile, is coming off of a decision loss to Sean Santella in June that snapped his five-fight winning streak. The 24-year-old is currently 5-2 as a pro and has four wins by stoppage. This scrap will mark his promotional debut after fighting in promotions like Pancrase, CFFC, and Calvo Promotions.

The promotion also announced Jose Caceres will take on Jason Norwood and Fernando Gonzalez Trevino will lock horns with Cesar Arzamendia, with both bouts taking place at welterweight on the preliminary draw.
