The Ultimate Fighting Championship will be returning to Virginia in February, taking to the city of Norfolk for the second time.

The promotion announced on Friday that it would be returning to Norfolk, Virginia, for a Fight Night card at the Chartway Arena on Feb. 28. The card will be part of a lengthy stretch of eight straight weeks with UFC events starting on Feb. 8.

The organization last held an event in the Chesapeake Bay area in 2017, when Dustin Poirier faced off against Anthony Pettis at the same arena -- also known as the Ted Constant Convocation Center -- that November. On that card, Poirier locked horns with Pettis and earned a third-round stoppage due to a rib injury in a "Fight of the Night" battle. Longtime vets Matt Brown, Diego Sanchez, Andrei Arlovski and Nate Marquardt also appeared at UFC Fight Night 120. It will be the second time the company has traveled to the city.

No bouts have been announced for the event yet, although some fighters from the area include grappling wizard Ryan Hall, and the recently signed Tony Gravely -- although the latter will be making his debut in Raleigh, North Carolina, in January.
