Round 1

Northcutt’s husband, Raymond Daniels, is quite vocal in the corner before the bout gets started. Martin rushes to close the distance as Northcutt flurries with punches. Martin ties up her opponent and eventually takes her down near the fence. Martin passes to half guard and drops some elbows to the head of Northcutt. Sage Northcutt’s elder sister works her way up in short order. Martin turns Northcutt into the fence and scores a body lock takedown. Northcutt is active from her back, as she looks to frame a triangle. She isolates Martin’s arm and adjusts the angle on the hold. Martin is unable to posture up to properly defend. Moments later, Northcutt extends her foe’s arm, leans back and Martin is forced to tap out in a matter of seconds.

Jackie Buntan vs. Ekaterina Vandaryeva

Round 1

The combatants trade leg kicks early, and then Vandaryeva counters a low kick with an overhand right. Buntan lands a right hand-left hook combination. Vandaryeva tries to counter a one-two combination with a spinning backfist. Vandaryeva attacks with a front kick to the midsection. Buntan goes back to the right hand-left hook combination before the fighters tie up. The round ends without any other significant offense landing.

Round 2

An inside leg kick connects for Buntan. Vandaryeva nswers with one of her own, then finds the home for an overhand right. Buntan with a right to the body, then she moves out of range. The fighters trade kicks before Buntan lands a right hand. Buntan counters a spinning kick with a couple quick punches and a body kick. Butnan moves forward with quick punches and Vandaryeva forces the clinch. Vandaryeva counters a kick with a straight right. A quick combination lands for Buntan, then circles out of danger. Another combination finds a home for Buntan before the end of the frame.

Round 3

Vandaryeva opens with a leg kick and Buntan responds in turn. A quick jab connects for Buntan. They tie up and are separated quickly. Buntan is still moving in and out, throwing quick combinations. Buntan closes the distance and they clinch once more. Buntan lands an outside leg kick. Vandaryeva works the body and head with a combination. Vandaryeva attacks the legs. Buntan lands a body-head combination and a low kick. Vandaryeva with a low kick. They tie up and Buntan lands a knee before Vandaryeva trips her foe to the mat. A counter right lands for Vandaryeva and Buntan answers with an elbow. Buntan connects with an outside leg kick before the bell.

Shinya Aoki vs. Eduard Folayang

Round 1

This is the rubber match between Folayang and Aoki, with each man holding one victory over the other. Folayang moves in and lands a right to the body followed by a left to the head. Aoki lands a body kick. Aoki taking a measured approach, throws a partially blocked high kick and resets. About a minute and a half in, Aoki shoots for his first takedown of the fight. Folayang digs his underhooks and turns Aoki into the fence. Aoki looks like he’s going to jump guard, and instead he releases and trips Folayang to the mat. Aoki is in top position, with Folayang’s legs laced within his own. Aoki releases the legs and gradually slides into full mount. He drops a couple short elbows as Folayang attempts to push off the cage. Aoki makes sure mount is secure, and he drops a couple more elbows from above. After softening Folayang up with ground-and-pound, Aoki smoothly transitions to an armbar. He leans back, breaks his opponent’s grip and secures his 30th career submission triumph. “Tobikan Judan” has won four consecutive fights under the One Championship banner and ends his trilogy with Folayang in style.

Oumar Kane vs. Kirill Grishenko

Round 1

The heavyweights touch gloves and we’re underway. Gishenko takes the center of the cage and throws a front kick. Kane changes levels and Grishenko defends the takedown with underhooks. The big men battle for position, and Grishenko lands some knees and shoulder strikes in close quarters. Grishenko stays busy with knees and punches to the body in the clinch. “Reug Reug” isn’t offering much as they remained locked up. They finally separate with 2:20 to go and Kane is warned not to grab the shorts of his opponent. Kane lands a leg kick and circles away on the outside. Grishenko with a leg kick and moments later, lands a head kick before closing the distance. They tie up against the fence, with Grishenko in control. Kane breaks free but eats a jab. Grishenko walks his man downin the waning seconds of the round and lands a leg kickbefore time expires. Grishenko attacks with a spinning back fist before the bell.

Round 2

Kane just misses on a high kick. Grishenko presses forward with a front kick and a spinning back fists, but Kane flurries with heavy, looping punches. The heavyweights clinch briefly and then separate. Grishenko slips on a spinning heel kick and Kane shoots for a takedown as his foe returns to his feet. The Belarusian lands a knee to the midsection as “Reug Reug” shoves him into the fence. The combatants are in a bit of a stalemate against the fence. Kane continues to drive his man into the cage, but Grishenko lands another knee to the gut. They separate and Kane flurries with punches before Grishenko moves away. Grishenko lands an outside leg kick. Kane answers with a leg kick of his own. Grishenko lunges forward with a punch and Kane changes levels and turns his opponent into the cage. Kane leans on his opponent as Grishenko lands some short punches to the ribs. Grishenko lands some knees but his back remains against the fence. The men exchange short strikes in the clinch and separate as time winds down. Grisenhko appears to land a punch to the chin just after the bell and Kane falls to his knees, then rolls to his back while grabbing his neck. Kane remains on the canvas and appears to claim that the blow hit him in the throat. This one won’t continue, but Grishenko’s punch is not determined to be an illegal blow. Kane’s unbeaten run in MMA comes to an end in bizarre fashion.

Eddie Alvarez vs. Rae Yoon Ok

Round 1

It’s a quick turnaround for Alvarez following a controversial bout against Iuri Lapicus at One on TNT 1 earlier this month and even quicker for Ok, who was victorious just last week at One on TNT 3. Alvarez lands an outside leg kick that spins Ok around. Ok lands a leg kick of his own in return. Alvarez shoots for a takedown, and Ok lands some elbows while defending against the fence. Alvarez briefly gets him down but his foe scrambles right back up. Alvarez brings a knee up to the midsection then drops down for another takedown try. Ok maintains a sturdy base. Alvarez pulls Ok off the fence and gets a takedown. However, Ok pops right back up as Alvarez attempts to step into mount. They separate from the clinch and Alvarez counters a leg kick with a right hand. A straight right connects for Ok and another right lands and backs up Alvarez. Ok atacks with low kicks, then rocks and drops him with a punch. Ok follows him to the canvas and unloads with punches and hammerfists. The referee is giving Alvarez plenty of leeway to recover, and Ok stands, forcing Alvarez to get up. Ok lands a right hand followed by a jumping knee. Alvarez fires back with a combination in the waning seconds of the round. “The Underground King” backs up Ok with one more right hand before the bell.

Round 2

Alvarez pressures and drops for a single leg. Ok defends well against the fence. Alvarez lands some knees and short punches in close quarters. Ok separates and lands a left hook. Alvarez with a leg kick. Ok lands a front kick and right hand and Alvarez changes levels. He gets Ok down but can’t keep him on the canvas. They separate, but it isn’t long before Alvarez shoots again. Ok defends against the fence and Alvarez continues to grind away. Alvarez lands several knees in the clinch, then a flurry of punches before dropping for a double. Ok breaks free and they trade leg kicks. Alvarez changes levels behind a combination, but he continues to struggle to get Ok down. Alvarez relents for a moment, then shoots again. Alvarez separates, attacks iwth a right hand followed by a right kick. The former UFC champ ends the round as the aggressor.

Round 3

Alvarez opens up with a nice left hook, then a kick to Ok’s lead leg. Alvarez grabs a single leg but Ok escapes. They stand in the center of the cage and Alvarez lands an overhand right. Alvarez walks forward and lands an uppercut. A takedown shot from Alvarez is met by a knee, and Ok defends while landing some elbows. Ok lands a solid jab that Alvarez acknowledges before another takedown attempt. Ok only hits the canvas briefly. As they trade near the fence, Ok buckles Alvarez with a right hand. Alvarez recovers, lands a couple body shots on his way to the clinch. Alvarez backs off and eats a jab. Ok follows up with a long right hand and circles away. Alvarez drives Ok into the fence. Ok shoves him off and Alvarez sidesteps a flying knee. Alvarez lands a solid leg kick, and Ok shakes his leg off. Alvarez shoots for another double leg and drives Ok into the cage. Ok does a nice job remaining upright. They separate and Alvarez connects with a left hook and then a two-punch combination. Ok lands a hard uppercut. They continue to trade before Alvarez is denied on another takedown. Alvarez follows a head kick and a left hand with a takedown try. They separate and the action is fast and furious in the waning seconds. Both men land some solid shots in a wild exchange before the bell.

Aung La N Sang vs. Reinier de Ridder

Round 1

De Ridder shoots for a takedown and grounds Sang within the first 10 seconds. Sang stands and de Ridder drags him back down. De Ridder takes top position in a scramble and sets up in half guard. De Ridder is hunting for a guillotine before moving to mount. He transitions to Sang’s back and secures a body triangle. De Ridder stays busy, landing punches with both hands to the side of his opponent’s head. More punches from de Ridder and Sang rolls to to all fours. Sang falls back and de Ridder transitions to full mount and locks in an arm-triangle choke. It looked tight but Sang is able to escape. Sang stands and drops standing to ground shots with “The Dutch Knight on his back. Sang dives back into his foe’s guard, looking to land more offense. Sang stands again and kicks at the legs of his opponent, who is content to stay on his back. De Ridder threatens with some upkicks as Sang ends the round kicking at his foe’s legs from the standing position.

Round 2

De Ridder sticks a jab early, and Sang lands a right to the body. De Ridder quickly ties him up but can’t quite circle around to the back. De Ridder resets and shotts for a takedown near the fence. He pulls Sang to the mat and looks to work his way to the back as Sang attempts to stand. Sang is up but de Ridder drops low and continues to doggedly pursue the takedown. Sang is up and lands an uppercut as de Ridder gets a single leg. Sang is back up to his feet again as de Ridder presses him into the fence. De Ridder pulls him off the cage and lands in top position. He passes to half guard, remaining heavy on top. De Ridder steps over to mount smoothly, then drops some elbows. Sang wall walks to escape the mount, but de Ridder is threatening a back take now. De Ridder uses a body lock takedown to get Sang to the mat and quickly transitions to the back. De Ridder transitions into side control, dropping more elbows. He goes knee on belly and lands more elbows before the round ends.

Round 3

De Ridder throws a high kick but it’s blocked. De Ridder gets a single leg and takes Sang down near the fence. Once again, Sang works his way back up. De Ridder drags him back down, puts both hooks in and once again has back control. De Ridder locks in the body triangle. De Ridder threatens with a rear-naked choke before transitioning to full mount. De Ridder has brabo choke framed and slams a knee to the head of Sang. De Ridder continues to drive knees into the head of Sang. De Ridder can’t hold on to the choke and Sang is up. De Ridder is relentless and he drives for another takedown as Sang defends. Sang is down to a knee as de Ridder continues to apply pressure. Sang stands just before the bell.

Round 4

De Ridder begins with a front kick and Sang answers with a high kick. Then it’s a replay of the other rounds as de Ridder executes a single leg takedown within 20 seconds. De Ridder sets up in half guard before stepping over into mount. Sang kicks off the cage and de Ridder takes the back. Both hooks are in as Sang tries to control his foe’s hands. De Ridder switches to the body triangle and he peppers Sang’s head with short punches. Sang scrambles to his knees momentarily but de Ridder drags him right back down and re-applies the body triangle. De Ridder methodically transitions to full mount. Sang looks to push off the fence with his legs, but de Ridder stays heavy on top while landing some short shots to the ribs. The round ends with de Ridder in mount.

Round 5

De Ridder shoots for a single leg against the fence, but Sang is initially able to remain upright. De Ridder eventually trips Sang down, and with 4:30 to go we’re back to where most of the fight has taken place. De Ridder is in half guard near the fence, and then he steps into full mount. Sang lands some punches to the ribs from his back as de Ridder stays close to his foe. Sang explodes and reverses into top position. Sang creates some space and lands a left hand. De Ridder holds Sang close, preventing him from landing too powerful of offense from above. Sang does his best to stay busy with punches, but he can’t posture up due to de Ridder’s defensive guard. More punches to the body from Sang, but those won’t bring about the finish that he needs with less than a minute to go. As the round winds down, Sang tries to increase the intensity of his attack. De Ridder again pulls his foe close. Sang ends the round on top, but all signs point toward de Ridder becoming a two-division title holder in One.
