PFL 6 Weigh-in Results: Joao Zeferino Replaced by Alternate

Tyler TreeseJun 30, 2022

PFL 6 will feature women's lightweights and welterweights taking center stage ahead of the Professional Fighters League playoffs.

Headlining the 10-fight card is 2021 champion Kayla Harrison, who stands a perfect 13-0 in her mixed martial arts career, as she goes up against Kaitlin Young. While no fighters missed weight, there was a last-minute replacement after welterweight Joao Zeferino didn't weigh in, which led to Dilano Taylor replacing him against Magomed Magomedkerimov. Taylor enters with three points this season.

A staggering betting favorite with odds approaching -6000, Harrison is expected to steamroll Young (12-12-1). "The Striking Viking" is on a two-fight losing streak after dropping decisions to Mariana Morais and Julia Budd. Meanwhile, the undefeated Harrison is coming off a decision win over Marina Mokhnatkina this season.

PFL 6 prelims begin on ESPN+ at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT on Friday. The main card then airs on ESPN and ESPN+ at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
