Via a press release sent out on Friday, the organization has announced its second Challenger Series event that will take place on Feb. 25 at the Universal Studios in Orlando, Fla. In a similar vein to Dana White's Contender Series, the league plans on either issuing a PFL contract at the end of show or signing a victor to a developmental deal that will ultimately lead to another Challenger Series appearance or a PFL roster spot.

The first event on Feb. 18 was announced on Wednesday, in which it will bring in eight fighters to compete in four bouts in the light heavyweight division. This format will stay the same all season, where four fights will take place on each card. This second week of bouts will be populated by welterweights, and each week should bring a new weight category of athletes. The competitors have been determined, but the matchups are not yet set.

The crop of welterweight prospects that will be brought into this event include: Brave Combat Federation champ Jarrah Al-Silawi, Ohio State wrestler Mark Martin, grappling standout “Hulk” Lucas Barbosa, Legacy Fighting Alliance titleholder Carlos Leal Miranda, Titan Fighting Championships vet Dilano Taylor, well-traveled Florida native Michael Lilly, Ring of Combat upstart Troy Green and longtime Island Fights competitor Socrates Pierre.

PFL President of Fighter Operations Ray Sefo expressed his excitement about this slate of fighters, stating, “Welterweight is always one of the most exciting divisions in the league. I cannot wait to see what these unbelievably talented and hungry fighters bring to the SmartCage, whoever wins the contract out of this deep group will have earned it.”

The entirety of the PFL Challenger Series can be viewed on the Fubo Sports Network, which is a live and free network under the FuboTV umbrella. The fight cards will all air at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on their respective dates.
