PSAC: Oliveira Win Over Lentz Changed to No Contest

Charles Oliveira's victory over Nik Lentz in their preliminary lightweight clash at UFC Live 4 has been changed to a no contest.

Sherdog.com confirmed the ruling with Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission head Gregory Sirb on Wednesday.

Headlined by a heavyweight conflict between Cheick Kongo and Pat Barry, UFC Live 4 took place June 26 at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh and was broadcast live on cable network Versus.

Oliveira-Lentz was featured on the event's undercard, which was streamed live on Facebook. The Brazilian was initially awarded the victory when he sunk a fight-ending rear-naked choke in the second round. However, prior to taking Lentz's back, “Do Bronx” landed an illegal knee to the Minnesotan's face, damaging his right orbital socket. The knee was missed by the referee, and the bout was allowed to continue, leading to Oliveira's short-lived victory.

With the PSAC changing the ruling of the bout, Lentz remains undefeated in his Octagon career, now holding a promotional record of 5-0-1 with one no contest. Oliveira recently suffered the first loss of his pro career, falling by kneebar to Jim Miller at UFC 124. Both Lentz and Oliveira were awarded “Fight of the Night” bonuses for their UFC Live 4 clash, each of them pocketing an extra $50,000 for their efforts.
