A previously rumored clash between Paige VanZant and Rachael Ostovich is now set for the UFC’s debut on ESPN+ next year.
A promotion official confirmed the flyweight booking to Newsday . UFC on ESPN+ 1 takes place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., on January 18. It will be the first event offered by the Las Vegas-based organization on the ESPN streaming platform. The card does not yet have a headliner, but a welterweight clash pitting Belal Muhammad against Geoff Neal was also confirmed for the card.
VanZant will look to halt a two-bout skid after falling to Jessica-Rose Clark and Michelle Waterson in back-to-back outings. VanZant underwent two procedures on a broken arm suffered in her lose to Clark before being cleared.
Ostovich is 1-1 in the promotion after suffering a submission defeat to Montana De La Rosa at “The Ultimate Fighter 27” finale.
