Bellator MMA welterweights Paul Daley and Fernando Gonzalez will square off in a Glory kickboxing bout at the organizations’ co-promoted event next month.
The matchup was announced Monday as part of Bellator “Dynamite,” the Sept. 19 card which will feature both MMA bouts in the Bellator cage and kickboxing contests in the Glory ring. Set to air live on Spike TV from SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., the card will be headlined by Liam McGeary defending his Bellator light heavyweight title against former UFC champion Tito Ortiz.

Daley, 32, owns a kickboxing record of 20-3 with 14 knockouts and last competed as a striker in October 2014, when he outpointed Mohammad Ghaedi Bardeh under the K-1 banner in Thailand. “Semtex” extended his Bellator MMA record to 3-0 on July 17 with a second-round stoppage of Dennis Olson. Recently, the Englishman has been linked to a possible rematch with old rival and new Bellator signee Josh Koscheck.
Gonzalez, 31, is a former professional boxer and WBC national muay Thai titlist. The “Menifee Maniac” has focused on mixed martial arts in recent years, running up an impressive four-fight winning streak within Bellator by beating the likes of Karo Parisyan and Marius Marius Zaromskis.
