“As most of you guys know I’m getting ready to go over to Brasilia, Brazil, Francisco Trinaldo’s hometown. I’ve gotta get my corner over there,” Felder said. “The UFC can only cover so many flights. I’ve got a few other cornermen I’ve got to bring with me. They’re important to our victory. So if you guys want to help me get this win, we’re asking that you donate whatever you can — just a little bit. It’s just to get my coaches over there. Not for personal gain. It’s for flights to get guys to Brazil so we can get this ‘W’ and come back home to the United States victorious.”
As of Friday morning, “The Irish Dragon” had received a little more than $1,800 of his $7,500 goal over the course of three days. Felder enters the matchup with Trinaldo having bested Joshua Burkman and Daron Cruickshank in his last two Octagon appearances. He is 4-2 during his promotional tenure overall.
UFC Fight Night takes place at Nilson Nelson Gymnasium and is headlined by a 140-pound catch-weight clash pitting Cristiane Justino against Lina Lansberg. Felder’s showdown with Trinaldo is set for the Fox Sports 1-televised main card, which begins at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
