Four fights are now official for Bellator 44, as the promotion announced that heavy-handed Brazilian Patricky Freire will lock horns with wrestling powerhouse Michael Chandler to crown a Season 4 lightweight tournament champion.

The event, which goes down May 14 from Caesars Atlantic City Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, N.J., will also feature a non-title bout pitting reigning middleweight king Hector Lombard against UFC veteran Falaniko Vitale.

Additionally, the event will showcase Season 4 welterweight tournament competitors Dan Hornbuckle and Lyman Good, as the 170-pounders scrap for a spot in the upcoming Season 5 tournament. Season 2 middleweight finalist Alexander Shlemenko will also see action at the event, as the Russian takes on Brett Cooper.

The older brother of featherweight tournament competitor Patricio Freire, Patricky rides a five-fight winning streak heading into his showdown with Chandler. The Brazilian has registered two highlight-reel knockouts in the first two rounds of the lightweight tournament, relieving both Rob McCullough and Toby Imada of consciousnesses en route to a finals berth.

Chandler survived a scare in the quarterfinals against Marcin Held to advance to the semis. Though he scored an early takedown, the wrestler found himself caught in a kneebar. After escaping the submission attempt, Chandler applied an arm-triangle choke to earn the victory.

In the semifinals, the Xtreme Couture representative ground down Lloyd Woodard over three rounds, earning a unanimous decision to advance to the May 14 tournament final.
