UFC President Dana White confirmed the strawweight bout to ESPN.com on Wednesday. UFC 235 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on March 2 and is headlined by a light heavyweight clash between Jon Jones and Anthony Smith.
Viana had a six-bout winning streak snapped in her last outing, as she suffered a unanimous decision loss against J.J. Aldrich at UFC 227. The 26-year-old Brazilian owns a 10-2 career mark and has finished all of her victories inside the distance.
Cifers made her promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 139, where she lost to Maycee Barber via second-round technical knockout. Prior to that, the Oxford, N.C., native had won five straight contests on the regional circuit.
