UFC and International Fight League veteran Benji Radach (Pictured) will meet Ovince St. Preux in a featured matchup at Strikeforce “Henderson vs. Babalu” this Saturday at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis. Strikeforce officials on Tuesday confirmed the matchup, which will be contested at 205 pounds.
A potent finisher when healthy, Radach has secured 17 of his 21 career victories by knockout or technical knockout. Wins over former EliteXC middleweight champion Murilo “Ninja” Rua, UFC veteran Gerald Harris and one-time IFL middleweight titleholder Ryan McGivern anchor his resume.
St. Preux, a former linebacker at the University of Tennessee, will carry a five-fight winning streak into the match. The 27-year-old last appeared at Strikeforce Challengers 12 on Nov. 19, when he earned a unanimous decision over Antwain Britt.
A light heavyweight showdown between two-time Olympian Dan Henderson and Renato “Babalu” Sobral will headline Strikeforce’s year-end event, along with a middleweight tilt pairing former EliteXC champion Robbie Lawler with 2000 Olympic silver medalist Matt Lindland.
