Quinton Jackson will make his Bellator debut on Nov. 15, when “Rampage” will collide with fellow UFC veteran Joey Beltran at Bellator 108.
Bellator 108 takes place at Revel in Atlantic City, N.J., and will also see Alexander Shlemenko defend his middleweight title against Season 8 tournament winner Doug Marshall. Top featherweight talent Patricio Freire will also be in action that night, as “Pitbull” battles Strikeforce alum Justin Wilcox in the Season 9 tourney finals.
Jackson, 35, makes his Bellator debut on the heels of three consecutive defeats, as the former UFC champion dropped bouts to Jon Jones, Ryan Bader and Glover Teixeira to end his Octagon run. A 43-fight pro, “Rampage” owns two thirds of his wins by either knockout or submission and has been stopped just five times in nearly 14 years of competition.
Like his foe, Beltran will also make his promotional foray at Bellator 108. “The Mexicutioner” last competed on Oct. 9, when he dropped a split decision to Fabio Maldonado at UFC Fight Night 29. Beltran has won just two of his last nine fights, as his December 2012 victory over Igor Pokrajac was changed to a no-contest after Beltran tested positive for the anabolic steroid nandrolone.
