Randy Brown has been pulled from a proposed welterweight matchup against Chance Rencountre at UFC Fight Night 143 in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Brown announced his exit from the card but did not offer a specific reason for his withdrawal. FloCombat was first to report the news.

“Thank you to all my friends family and the fans attending the UFC Brooklyn event,” Brown wrote on Twitter. “I am 100 percent healthy and ready to fight. My team and I tried our best to keep the fight on. Unfortunately, the decision wasn’t up to us. I’m excited to be back in action as soon as possible.”

Brown is 4-3 during his promotional tenure and 10-3 as a professional overall. Most recently, “Rude Boy” suffered a second-round knockout loss to Niko Price at UFC Fight Night 133 on July 14.

UFC officials are reportedly seeking a replacement opponent for Rencountre. UFC Fight Night 143 marks the promotion’s debut on ESPN+. The card takes place at the Barclays Center and is headlined by a flyweight championship clash between Henry Cejudo and reigning bantamweight king T.J. Dillashaw.
