Randy Costa will get a hometown fight when he takes on Boston Salmon in Boston on Oct. 18 at UFC on ESPN 6, the promotion recently announced.
Costa, 4-1, made his Octagon debut at UFC 236 when he took on Brandon Davis. He had some success early on the fight but was submitted in the second round. Before he got the call to the Las Vegas-based promotion, all four of his wins came by knockout inside of a round.
Salmon, meanwhile, earned a UFC contract on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender series in Season 1, Episode 1 with a win against Ricky Turcios. In his debut, he took on Khalid Taha at UFC 236 where he was shockingly knocked out in just 25 seconds.
UFC on ESPN 6 goes down on Oct. 18 at the TD Garden and will be headlined by a light heavyweight bout between Chris Weidman and Dominick Reyes.
