Referees, Judges Selected for Jones-Santos, Nunes-Holm Title Bouts at UFC 239

Herb Dean will be the third man in the cage when Jon Jones defends his light heavyweight crown against Thiago Santos in the UFC 239 headliner.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission announced the referee and judging assignments for the two title bouts on the July 6 card during a meeting on Wednesday. Mike Bell, Derek Cleary and Junichiro Kamijo will score Jones vs. Santos. Dean will earn $1,900 for his work, while the cageside officials will receive $1,600 apiece.

Meanwhile, Marc Goddard will oversee the women’s bantamweight title clash between Amanda Nunes and Holly Holm in the UFC 239 co-main event, and Dave Hagen, Sal D’Amato and Chris Lee will serve as judges for the bout.

UFC 239 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The main card airs on pay-per-view via ESPN+, while prelims will be broadcast on ESPN and ESPN+.
