Report: Cortney Casey-Sanchez to Replace Injured Alexa Grasso Against Angela Hill

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has found a replacement for Alexa Grasso on the same day she pulled out of her UFC Fight Night 135 bout against Angela Hill on Aug. 25, ESPN reported on Thursday afternoon.

News broke of Grasso’s withdrawal from the card on Thursday morning due to undisclosed reasons, but just a few hours later, Cortney Casey-Sanchez offered her services to take on the No. 15 ranked UFC strawweight.

Casey (7-6) has dropped two fights in a row, however both were competitive decision losses to Michelle Waterson and Felice Herrig.

Hill (8-4) will look to ride the momentum off of her February win over Maryna Moroz, while Grasso will have to wait to rebound from a submission loss to Tatiana Suarez in May.

UFC Fight Night 135 takes place in Lincoln, Nebraska, and will be headlined by a lightweight contest between Justin Gaethje and James Vick.
