Report: Jessica Eye Tested Positive for Marijuana Following UFC 166
Despite a failed drug test, Eye is still slated to fight at UFC

UFC bantamweight Jessica Eye tested positive for marijuana following her fight against Sarah Kaufman, according to FoxSports.com, which obtained an order from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The order stated that Eye tested positive for cannabinoids, compounds which are found in marijuana. Bloody Elbow first reported that Eye’s positive test was for marijuana, although the fighter initially denied the report. Eye submitted two urine samples for testing prior to UFC 166, and the test revealed that the fighter tested positive for cannabinoids.
As a result, Eye’s victory over Kaufman was changed to a no-decision and she received a year-long “fully probated” suspension that began on Jan. 22, as well as a fine of $1,875. Eye also agreed to notify the commission of any upcoming bouts and drug test results. Any violations of the agreement would result in a separate, six-month suspension.
According to the report, Eye was notified of the positive test on Nov. 26, 2013, and she signed the settlement agreement offered by the state of Texas on Jan. 15. Eye will still be able to fight Alexis Davis at UFC 170 as long as she adheres to the terms of the agreement.
