Joanna Jedrzejczyk will likely defend her strawweight crown against Claudia Gadelha in the UFC 195 co-headliner.
UFC President Dana White confirmed the matchup to the Los Angeles Times on Friday but admitted that the pairing was contingent upon Gadelha’s full recovery an injured finger suffered in her victory over Jessica Aguilar at UFC 190. Jedrzejczyk defeated Gadelha via split decision in their first meeting at UFC on Fox 13 this past December.

Jedrzejczyk captured the 115-pound strap at UFC 185 in March, as she dominated Carla Esparza en route to a second-round knockout victory. The Polish fighter made her first defense on June 20, stopping Jessica Penne via third-round technical knockout.
The loss to Jedrzejczyk was Gadelha’s lone defeat in 13 professional appearances. The Brazilian is 2-1 in the UFC, with triumphs over Aguilar, the former WSOF champ, and Tina Lahdemaki. Gadelha has finished eight of her 13 triumphs inside the distance.
