UFC 235 in March keeps getting bigger and better, as the Ultimate Fighting Championship added another all-action matchup to the card between Thomas Almeida and Marlon Vera.

Almeida started his career off incredibly at 16-0 with all 16 bouts ending by stoppage before signing with the UFC in 2014. He made his presence known in the UFC early on, winning his first four in the promotion before dropping three of his next four to Cody Garbrandt, Jimmie Rivera and Rob Font. Almeida is currently on a two-fight slide -- the first multiple-fight losing streak of his career -- although he still celebrates post-fight bonuses in all five of his UFC wins.
Former “The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America” cast member Vera has had a much more tumultuous UFC career, dropping two of his first three bouts in the promotion before gaining his footing. Since 2017, Vera holds a record of 4-2 with decision losses to John Lineker and Douglas Silva de Andrade. “Chito” is currently riding a two-fight finish streak over Wuliji Buren and Guido Cannetti, and became the fourth bantamweight in UFC history to finish an opponent with strikes to the body when he stopped Buren at UFC 227.
UFC 235 will take place on March 2, 2019 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The event is expected to be headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Anthony Smith, and serving as co-headliner will be a welterweight championship showdown between champ Tyron Woodley and Kamaru Usman.
