After breaking his leg in a kickboxing match on April 13 of last year, it appears World Series of Fighting and Glory veteran Tyrone Spong is finally healthy enough to compete.

According to ECBoxing.de, “The King of the Ring” is currently under negotiations to make his professional boxing debut on March 6 in Berlin against a yet-to-be-decided opponent.

The German outlet continued to report that possible opponents for his initial foray are Alexander Ustinov and Ozcan Cetinkaya.

A free agent in kickboxing and the “Sweet Science,” Spong, 29, remains under contract with WSOF for mixed martial arts. The decorated knockout artist told Sherdog.com in 2013 that he had his sights set on expanding his violence portfolio into the boxing world:

“I can adjust. I think that’s one of my strongest spots. I don’t see any problems,” said Spong. “I’m going to make it even more difficult for myself because I’m probably going to fight some professional boxing fights this year too. That’s me.”
