Former KSW champion Mamed Khalidov was arrested by Anti-Terrorist Operations Office in Poland for allegedly importing stolen cars from the Czech Republic, according to a report from tvp.info.
According to a statement from the National Public Prosecutor’s Office, some of the luxury vehicles imported into the country included a Porsche Panamera, Range Rover Evoque, BMW M6 and BMW 7 Series.
Khalidov was reportedly cooperative with authorities during his arrest. He is expected to face a prosecutor before any charges are determined. Khalidov is the fourth person to be arrested in the case, which according to the report has been ongoing since January 2018.
A former two-division champion in KSW, Khalidov retired in December following his second consecutive loss to Tomasz Narkun. For many years, Khalidov was regarded as one of the world’s best fighters not under UFC contract. The 38-year-old exited the sport with a 34-6-2 career record.
