Former Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight champion Luke Rockhold may be set to hang up his gloves after declaring he has no interest in fighting following another knockout loss, this time to Jan Blachowicz back in July.

Rockhold has been knocked out cold in three of his last four fights and the former middleweight champion is now seriously contemplating retirement from the sport as he’s achieved much by becoming a UFC and Strikeforce champion and the fact he has a lucrative modelling career to fall back on outside of the Octagon.

The 35-year-old told ESPN reporter Ariel Helwani that his motivation to fight again isn’t there right now and that he has no plans in the immediate future to step back inside the Octagon (via ESPN):

"I have no interest in fighting right now," Rockhold said.

When asked if it was possible he might never fight again, Rockhold replied, "Very."

Rockhold told Helwani that following his knockout loss in his light heavyweight debut that he suffered a broken jaw which required surgery and the insertion of a titanium plate; he also had to have his jaw wired-shut for five days following the procedure.

According to the ESPN report, Rockhold is set to feature in a movie and will be heading to Canada next week to start filming.
