Ricardo Lamas won’t get his rematch with Jose Aldo, but he will remain on the UFC on Fox 26 card.

“The Bully” will lock horns with Josh Emmett in a featherweight bout on Dec. 16 at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Multiple outlets have confirmed the new pairing after an initial report from Farrah Hannoun via Twitter. The matchup has not been formally announced by the UFC, but verbal agreements are reportedly in place. Lamas was initially slated to face Jose Aldo in a rematch of their featherweight title bout at UFC 169.

UFC on Fox 26 is headlined by a welterweight showdown pitting Robbie Lawler against Rafael dos Anjos. The main card will be televised on the Fox Network, with prelims airing on Fox Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Lamas has won two straight contests, as he submitted Charles Oliveira at UFC Fight Night 98 before earning a first-round technical knockout against Jason Knight at UFC 214. Emmett has won three of his four Octagon appearances and 12 of his 13 professional bouts overall.
