Rizin 17 Weigh-in Results: All Fighters Hit Contracted Marks

Rizin Fighting Federation’s third event of 2019 will proceed as planned, as all fighters scheduled to compete made weight for their respective bouts.

Rizin 17 takes place at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on Sunday and is headlined by a lightweight showdown between Yusuke Yachi and Mikuru Asakura. Yachi checked in at 154.1 pounds for his main event bout, while Asakura tipped the scales at 154 pounds.

After winning his first five appearances under the Rizin banner, Yachi has suffered back-to-back KO/TKO defeats at the hands of Luiz Gustavo Felix dos Santos and Johnny Case. The 29-year-old Krazy Bee representative owns a 20-8 career mark that also includes stints in Pancrase and Shooto.

Asakura, meanwhile has won nine of his 11 career bouts and enters the matchup on a five-fight winning streak. The 26-year-old Tri-Force Akasaka member owns four victories within the Japanese promotion, including a three-round verdict over dos Santos in his most recent outing at Rizin 15.
