Rizin 21 takes place at the Hamamatsu Arena in Mamamatsu, Japan, on Feb. 22. The Fite TV portion of the broadcast will include seven MMA bouts, two kickboxing bouts and a jiu-jitsu “gauntlet match” in which Roberto Satoshi faces five opponents — Yuki Nakai, Edison Kagohara, Koji Shigemitsu, Hiroshi Shinagawa and Yua Kimura — and must finish them all with 10 minutes.

“I don’t think facing five jiu-jitsu practitioners will be an easy task, but I will do my best to show the fans a fun, exciting jiu-jitsu match,” Satoshi said in a release.

The MMA portion of the event is highlighted by the Rizin debuts of UFC veterans Masanori Kanehara and Naoki Inoue. Kanehara will face Victory Henry at bantamweight, while Inoue will square off against Trent Girdham in another 135-pound affair. The evening’s featured contest will see Mikuru Asakura, who has won 12 of his 13 professional outings, lock horns with “TUF: Latin America” Season 2 competitor Daniel Salas at 150 pounds.

The card will begin with three kickboxing bouts featuring local fighters, but those will not be shown on the international broadcast.
