A welterweight tilt pitting Daniel Roberts against Charlie Brenneman is likely for the UFC on FX 1 fight card.

Roberts initially broke the news of the bout on his Twitter account on Monday, and Sherdog.com confirmed the news with a source close to the event.

Headlined by a lightweight bout between Jim Miller and Melvin Guillard, UFC on FX 1 takes place Jan. 20 in Nashville, Tenn., at the Bridgestone Arena. Also expected to feature a heavyweight contest between Pat Barry and Christian Morecraft, it is the first of six planned live events on FX in 2012.

Roberts owns a 3-3 record in the UFC overall, but "Ninja" has dropped two in a row, losing unanimous decisions to Claude Patrick in April and Rich Attonito in June. The Cesar Gracie Jiu-Jitsu representative owns Octagon victories over Forrest Petz, Michael Guymon and Greg Soto.

Brenneman notched the biggest win of his career at UFC Live 4 when he ended Rick Story's six-fight winning streak via unanimous decision. "The Spaniard" fell victim to an Anthony Johnson head kick in his most recent outing at UFC Live 6.
