Sherdog.com confirmed the middleweight bout with a promotion official on Tuesday. Additionally, rising heavyweight star Tyrell Fortune is expected to compete on the card against an as yet to be determined opponent. Cotton vs. Perrotta, along with a newly-announced light heavyweight clash pitting Grant Neal against Jimmy Lugo, are slated for the preliminary draw.

Bellator 233 takes place at Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, Okla., on Nov. 8 and features a welterweight clash between John Salter and Costello van Steenis.

Cotton, a three-time NCAA Division II national champion wrestler at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, has compiled a 3-0 record under the Bellator banner. The American Kickboxing Academy product last appeared at Bellator 204, where he scored a first-round TKO of Willie Whitehead.

Perrotta has not competed since April 2017, when he fell to Milan Kopravinecz via TKO in just 49 seconds on the regional circuit.

The 29-year-old Fortune is unbeaten in seven professional outings, all of which have occurred at heavyweight in the California-based promotion. The Arizona Combat Sports member is coming off a second-round submission win over Rudy Schaffroth at Bellator 225.
