Ronda Rousey to Star in ‘Road House’ Hollywood Remake
Ronda
Rousey’s résumé just keeps getting more impressive by the
minute.
Already an Olympic medalist and one of the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s brightest stars, the 28-year-old 135-pound women’s champion will star in the feature role of a remake of 1989’s “Road House.”
According to Variety, Rousey will fill the role of lead
bouncer in a small-town bar, which was made famous by Patrick
Swayze in the cult classic.
Rousey (12-0), has other movie credits to her name -- The Expendables 3, Fast & Furious 7, Entourage and Mile 22 -- but “Road House” will be her first headlining part.
The polarizing star will headline UFC 193 against Holly Holm on Nov. 15 in Melbourne, Australia.
