Alvey will return to the Octagon for the fourth time in five months when he locks horns with Nicholson. The former Maximum Fighting Championships titlist dropped a decision to Elias Theodorou in his first fight of 2016 before scoring back-to-back finishes of Eric Spicely and Kevin Casey in his next two outings.
After falling to Misha Cirkunov in his promotional debut, Nicholson garnered his first Octagon triumph with a knockout of Devin Clark at UFC Fight Night “McDonald vs. Lineker” on July 13. “The Spartan” recently came under fire for making a derogatory remark toward Hyun Gyu Lim while he cornered teammate Mike Perry at UFC 202.
Lausa, the reigning Pacific Xtreme Combat 125-pound king, enters his first Octagon foray on a four-fight winning streak and is 6-2 as a professional overall. Yao was a semifinalist on “The Ultimate Fighter: China” and has lost two of his three UFC bouts.
