Sara McMann to Face Ketlen Vieira at UFC 215

It seemed for a while as though the two would never meet, but after two separate date changes, Sara McMann and Ketlen Vieira will finally lock horns.

McMann made the announcement Tuesday afternoon on her Instagram account.

“After two different date changes, I'm happy to announce that I'm fighting Ketlen Vieira on September 9 for UFC 215. It seems like I've been training for her for like a year but ol' Abe Lincoln said 'Give me (6) hours to chop down a tree and I'll spend the first (4) sharpening my ax.”

McMann last fought in February where she submitted Gina Mazany in the first round. A former Ultimate Fighting Championship women's bantamweight title challenger and former Olympic wrestler, McMann has won her last three bouts. She's scored back-to-back submission wins and could align herself back into title contention with a win.

Vieira is coming off a decision win over Ashlee Evans-Smith in April. The Brazilian has been dominant in the pro ranks, having yet to taste defeat. She's 2-0 in the Octagon, but has yet to face someone the caliber of McMann.
