Sergio Pettis will meet Ryan Benoit in a flyweight contest at UFC 185 “Pettis vs. Dos Anjos” on March 14.

Ultimate Fighting Championship officials Tuesday announced the matchup, which will take place at American Airlines Center in Dallas. Pettis’ elder brother, Anthony Pettis, defends his UFC lightweight title against Rafael dos Anjos in the show’s main event.

After defeating Matt Hobar at UFC 181 “Hendricks vs. Lawler 2” in December, Pettis hinted at dropping from 135 to 125 pounds. A former Resurrection Fighting Alliance standout, Pettis has only lost once in his professional mixed martial arts career, a third-round submission loss to Alex Caceres at UFC on Fox 10. Overall, the Roufusport fighter holds a record of 3-1 inside the Octagon.

Benoit is coming off a loss in his UFC debut against Josh Sampo at “The Ultimate Fighter 18” Finale in November 2013. “Baby Face” suffered an injury to his left hand during the bout and has been out of action ever since. All sevent of Benoit’s victories have come before reaching the judges’ scorecards.
