Sergio Pettis will square off against Ricardo Ramos in a bantamweight bout at UFC on ESPN 3.
The Las Vegas-based promotion confirmed the pairing on Wednesday. UFC on ESPN 3 takes place at the Target Center in Minneapolis on June 29 and is headlined by a welterweight rematch between Tyron Woodley and Robbie Lawler. The card is expected to air in its entirety on ESPN.
After a 6-3 run at 125 pounds that included victories over the likes of Joseph Benavidez, Brandon Moreno and John Moraga, Pettis returned to bantamweight at UFC on Fox 31, where he dropped a unanimous verdict against Rob Font. The 25-year-old Roufusport product began his Octagon tenure by winning three of his first four appearances at 135 pounds.
Ramos, meanwhile, kicked off his UFC career with triumphs over Michinori Tanaka, Aiemann Zahabi and Kyung Ho Kung. Most recently, however, the 23-year-old Brazilian suffered a first-round technical knockout loss to Said Nurmagomedov at UFC Fight Night 144 to fall to 12-2 in his MMA career.
