In the main MMA attraction of the card, Ariel Sexton submitted Singapore’s very own Amir Khan. Khan came very close to securing a stoppage in the second round, after sending his opponent to the canvas with an overhand right. “Tarzan” was able to limit the damage and the Costa Rican grappling ace then locked up a slick rear-naked choke. The end of the contest came at 1:33 of round three.

It took only 25 seconds for Russian Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev to solve New Zealand enigma Ev Ting. Arslanaliev caught Ting with a tremendous left hook at the very beginning of the opening stanza and the referee Olivier Coste halted the fight, giving Arsanaliev the TKO victory. Arslanaliev now advances to the semifinals of the One Championship Lightweight Grand Prix, where he will meet tonight’s main event winner, Sexton.

Elsewhere, Thailand’s Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke smashed Jeremy Miado via TKO at 2:38 of the second round in their 170-pound contest.

In the preliminaries, Ayaka Miura submitted Laura Balin via Americana at 1:13 of the opening stanza; MMA veteran Masakazu Imanari scored another first-round heel hook submission, defeating Won Il Kwon; and finally, Indonesian Rudy Agustian defeated Khon Sichan via submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:14 of the opening stanza.
