Sarah Kaufman has a new opponent at UFC on Fox 17, as she will face Valentina Shevchenko in Orlando on Dec. 19.

Shevchenko replaces the injured Germaine de Randamie in bantamweight contest on less than two weeks’ notice. Promotion officials confirmed the new bout on Friday. UFC on Fox 17 takes place at the Amway Center and is headlined by a lightweight title tilt pitting Rafael dos Anjos against Donald Cerrone.

A native of Lima, Peru, Shevchenko is 9-1 as a professional and is coming off a unanimous decision triumph over Jan Finney at Legacy FC 39 on Feb. 27. The 27-year-old known as “Bullet” has finished seven of her victories inside the distance, with her lone defeat coming against current UFC talent Liz Carmouche.

Kaufman, a former Strikeforce titlist, last competed at UFC 186, dropping a unanimous decision in a rematch against Alexis Davis. The 30-year-old owns a 17-3 career mark, including triumphs over Leslie Smith (twice), Davis, Carmouche, Shayna Baszler and Miesha Tate, among others.
