Social Media Star Erko Jun Set to Meet Akop Szostak at KSW 49

Erko Jun will enter the cage once again to lock horns with Akop Szostak at KSW 49. Both Jun and Szostak are well known in the social media world due to their involvement in bodybuilding and fitness.

Jun successfully made his MMA debut at KSW 44, where he knocked out Polish action movie star and MMA fighter Tomasz Oswiecinski in the opening stanza of their bout. Then, he crushed “Popek Monster” Pawel Mikolajuw at KSW 45 in London via TKO at the 2:08 mark of round two. 

The 30-year-old Szostak made his promotional debut at KSW 45 against English fighter Jamie Sloane. Their bout, however, ended in no contest due to an accidental eye poke. Prior to that, Szostak compiled a 3-2 record, with two of those triumphs coming by way of technical knockout. 

KSW 49 goes down at the Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland on May 18. In the main event of the card, Michal Materla and Scott Askham will fight for KSW vacant middleweight title. Meanwhile Roberto Soldic will put his welterweight title on the line in the co-main event against the undefeated Krystian Kaszubowski, and Damian Grabowski is set to face former heavyweight champ Karol Bedorf in another featured affair.
