Source: Lorenzo Hood Blows Out Knee While Warming Up, Off Bellator 141 Card
Rising heavyweight contender Lorenzo
Hood will have to wait a little longer to make his Bellator
MMA debut.
Bellator officials confirmed that Hood suffered a pre-fight injury to his knee while warming up and has been removed from Friday’s Bellator 141 card from the Pechanga Resort in Temecula, Calif.
Hood’s opponent, Raphael Butler has been removed from the event as well, due to the promotion being unable to replace Lorenzo on such short notice. Given that the Hood-Butler was scheduled to be a part of the main card televised live on Spike TV, officials confirmed that the Marloes Coenen vs. Arlene Blencowe featherweight duel will air in its stead.
