The UFC 157 undercard averaged 1.27 million viewers during its Saturday-night broadcast on cable network FX, Sherdog.com confirmed with an industry source on Tuesday.

UFC 157 took place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., and was headlined by the first women’s bout in promotional history. Ronda Rousey retained her bantamweight title in an exciting main event, escaping an early rear-naked choke attempt from Liz Carmouche to submit the “Girl-Rilla” with her patented armbar.

The evening’s seven-fight undercard began with a trio of bouts on Facebook, highlighted by Kenny Robertson’s unorthodox submission of Brock Jardine. Four fights were then contested on FX, including an early “Fight of the Year” nominee between Dennis Bermudez and Matt Grice, with Bermudez receiving a split decision from the cage-side judges.

The two-hour FX broadcast also featured a heavyweight showdown between Brendan Schaub and Lavar Johnson, as well as a pair of lightweight contests that saw Michael Chiesa and Sam Stout pick up victories over Anton Kuivanen and Caros Fodor, respectively.
