Stefan Struve Releases Graphic Image of Injury Suffered at UFC Hamburg

Fight fans have witnessed a number of gruesome injuries in mixed martial arts like the Anderson Silva leg break, or Leslie Smith’s cauliflower ear pop. Now add Ultimate Fighting ChampionshipStefan Struve’s second set of lips to that list.

“Skyscraper” took on Marcin Tybura on Sunday in Hamburg, Germany, where he lost via unanimous decision. During the fight Tybura opened up a cut just below the mouth of the big Dutchman. The cut was so large that Struve could even poke his tongue through it.

Despite the loss and gruesome injury suffered, Struve seems to be in good spirits and will take some time away to refocus.
