Ultimate Fighting Championship officials Tuesday announced that Canadian lightweights Sam Stout and Shane Campbell will compete in separate bouts at August’s UFC Fight Night in Saskatchewan.
Stout, who will step into the Octagon for the 20th time, has amassed seven post-fight bonuses in his UFC career. “Hands of Stone” is aiming to turn his luck around after being knocked by Ross Pearson and K.J. Noons out in back-to-back bouts. Standing in his way will be submission specialist Perez of New Jersey.
British Columbia’s Campbell is also coming off a loss, having been stopped by John Makdessi in his UFC debut at UFC 186. His opponent, Brazil’s Silverio, had won three in a row before suffering a first-round stoppage to Rashid Magomedov in December.
