‘TUF 14’ Episode 7 Earns 1.5 Million Viewers
Episode seven of “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 14 earned an average
of 1.5 million viewers for its Wednesday night broadcast on Spike
TV.
Sherdog.com confirmed the figure with network officials Thursday. The figure represents a slight decrease from last week’s episode, which earned 1.6 million viewers.
In addition to the average overall viewership, episode seven also
posted a household rating of 1.1 and scores of 1.68 and 1.48 in the
male 18-34 and 18-49 demographics, respectively.
Episode seven featured the close of the quarterfinal round of fights, as Team Bisping’s T.J. Dillashaw took on Team Miller’s Roland Delorme, who suffered from a nasty skin infection on his foot prior to the contest.
Dillashaw lived up to his hype, dominating Delorme with takedowns and ground-and-pound in round one. The second frame would prove no easier for Delorme, who was knocked down and then finished with a rear-naked choke.
Semifinal pairings were announced after the bout, and Dillashaw will meet Dustin Pague. Also at bantamweight, John Dodson will lock horns with Johnny Bedford. At 145 pounds, Diego Brandao will face Bryan Caraway while Hamid Corassani will square off with Dennis Bermudez.
