‘TUF 15’ Finale Update: Jeremy Larsen Faces Joe Proctor on June 1 in Las Vegas

Following a series of new additions to “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 15 finale, Jeremy Larsen and Joe Proctor have joined the party.

Promotion officials confirmed the lightweight contest Wednesday afternoon. The event takes place June 1 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas and will be headlined by a welterweight tilt pitting Martin Kampmann against Joe Ellenberger. The to-be-determined finalists of Season 15 will also collide in order to crown the newest “TUF” champion, live on FX.

Coach Dominick Cruz’s last pick on the show, Larsen was outpointed by current semifinalist Mike Chiesa in the round of 16. Prior to suffering that exhibition loss, the Arizonan had won two straight fights away from the “TUF” house, outpointing Sammy Ciurdar last July and Jeff Fletcher on Nov. 5.

Proctor advanced to the competition’s quarterfinals after submitting Chris Tickle with a first-round rear-naked choke in the prelims. He would not fare as well in his next appearance, however, as he dropped a unanimous decision to James Vick that ended his bid to capture the “TUF” title. Proctor had compiled a three-fight winning streak before joining the show’s cast, earning wins over Eric Fama, Oz Pariser and Matt Bessette.
