“I am fighting June 24 [against] Caros Fodor,” wrote Terry. “We going to put on a great show as the main event that night!”

While not officially announced by the promotion, Strikeforce Challengers 16 is expected to take place in Kent, Wash. No venue has been announced for the show as of yet.

The event will also likely feature the return of Ryan Couture, as one of MMA's most famous sons squares of against a to-be-named foe. Additionally, the show is also rumored to feature a light heavyweight confrontation between Lorenz Larkin and Gian Villante.

As is typical, the event is expected to air live on Showtime, delayed on the west coast.

Terry has looked sharp since joining Strikeforce in 2009, winning five of his six bouts inside the promotion's hexagonal cage. After suffering his lone Strikeforce defeat at the hands of Tarec Saffiedine in February 2010, Terry has rattled of three consecutive wins, as the Californian outpointed David Marshall before knocking out both Lucas Gamaza and Josh Thornburg in 2011.

Fodor has also been impressive during his time with Strikeforce, posting an undefeated 3-0 record since debuting with the promotion in July. The 26-year-old most recently fought on April 1, as the AMC Pankration representative knocked out David Douglas in the third round of their bout at Strikeforce Challengers 15. Fodor owns eight of his 10 career victories by submission and has never been knocked out in his five years as a pro.
