Cage Warriors Fighting Championship touched down in southern England, as CW 105 went down at the Charter Hall in Colchester on May 31.

In the main event, hometown hero Sean Carter locked horns with Tim Barnett in a 155-pound bout in front of a partisan crowd. Barnett (7-2-1) displayed his varied skillset, dominating in every aspect of the fight. This was the first time the MMA Academy Liverpool representative left one of his fights in the hands of the judges, but he earned himself a unanimous decision victory. Carter, however, suffered his third loss in a row.

In the co-featured bout of the event, Belgian Donovan Desmae (12-6) smashed Alexander Jacobsen. After dominating the first round, “Vegas” caught Jacobsen with a vicious counter right hook, sending his opponent to the ground. Once there, Desmae unleashed some heavy ground-and-pound, forcing referee Rich Mitchell to stop the fight. With the win, Desmae managed to bounce back from consecutive defeats at the hands of Hubert Geven and Mason Jones, respectively. On the other hand, Jacobsen’s losing streak continues, as the 31-year-old Norwegian is riding a three-fight skid, going 1-4 in his last five.

Elsewhere, Steve Aimable (13-5) took home an important win over Aidan Stephen via unanimous decision. “Diddy Kong” is now riding a four-bout winning streak and may be approaching a shot at the CW featherweight belt.

In a middleweight contest, Liverpool’s Mick Stanton (5-3) bested Alex Montagnani by unanimous decision. In the opening fight of the main card, Cory McKenna (4-1) crushed Italy's Giulia Chinello by TKO at 2:15 of the first round.
