Tachi Palace Fights 28 will feature a pair of title bouts on Aug. 4 in Lemoore, California, as Tony Llamas defends his lightweight crown against Danny Navarro in the main event and Jared Papazian meets Casey Kenney for the vacant flyweight championship in the co-headliner.

Llamas will carry a five-fight winning streak into the cage. He laid claim to 155-pound gold at TPF 25 on Nov. 19, when he wiped out Dominic Clark with first-round punches. Llamas has finished four of his five opponents during his current tear. A Bellator MMA alum, Millennia MMA’s Navarro has rattled off back-to-back victories against Cleber Luciano and Cain Carrizosa. The 33-year-old Californian has gone 15-2 since starting his career with four consecutive defeats.

Papazian, 28, has registered five wins in eight appearances since being released by the Ultimate Fighting Championship in 2012. A former King of the Cage champion, “The Jackhammer” last appeared at TPF 27 in May, when he submitted Alex Perez with a first-round armbar. The undefeated Kenney sports five finishes among his five victories.
