Hannah Cifers will replace Melissa Gatto and face Mariya Agapova at UFC Fight Night 172 on Saturday.

Combate was first to report the new flyweight booking. UFC Fight Night 172 takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and is headlined by a flyweight showdown between Jessica Eye and Cynthia Calvillo. Gatto was unable to compete due to visa issues.

Cifers last appeared at UFC on ESPN 9 on May 30, where she was submitted by Mackenzie Dern in the opening frame of a strawweight contest. “Shockwave” will be making her first Octagon appearance at 125 pounds after compiling a 2-3 UFC mark at 115 pounds.

A native of Kazakhstan, Agapova enters her UFC debut on the strength of back-to-back triumphs in Invicta FC. The 23-year-old American Top Team representative has lost just once in nine professional outings – decision setback to Tracy Cortez on Season 3 of Dana White’s Contender Series.
